Hand Engraving
Every Breners of London signet ring is engraved by hand in London by one of our master engravers. We do not use laser or machine engraving. Each mark is cut directly into the metal using traditional tools and techniques, allowing for greater depth, clarity, and longevity.
Hand engraving gives a signet ring its authority. The lines are sharp, deliberate, and permanent, designed to wear beautifully over decades rather than soften or blur with time. The result is a modern signet ring with definition, character, and unmistakable presence.
Initials
Up to three initials may be engraved by hand, either in a traditional arrangement or a more contemporary composition. Each letter is individually cut, allowing subtle variations in line weight and proportion that cannot be replicated by machine.
This approach creates an engraving that feels personal rather than generic. Clean, restrained, and precisely balanced, hand-engraved initials are ideal for those who prefer understatement while still valuing craftsmanship and permanence.
Crests and Emblems
Our crest and emblem engravings are entirely hand cut, translating complex designs into crisp, legible compositions suited to the scale of a signet ring. This results in a more powerful and wearable engraving, with greater clarity and depth. Each crest is interpreted by the engraver, respecting heraldic tradition while refining it for a modern signet ring. The final engraving is bold, detailed, and enduring, designed to be worn daily and passed down.

All shipping is free of charge. All packages are sent by either Royal Mail Special Delivery or FedEx, tracked and signed for.
Breners of London jewellery is handmade from beginning to end, so please allow 8-10 weeks for engraved pieces and 3-5 weeks for all other pieces.
