Hand engraved inscriptions are cut by hand on the inside of a Breners of London signet ring, creating a private detail known only to the wearer. These inscriptions are subtle, discreet, and deeply personal.
Each inscription is engraved in London by a master hand engraver using traditional tools. The lettering is cut directly into the metal, producing clean lines and a permanence that cannot be achieved through machine engraving.
What Can Be Inscribed
Inscriptions may include dates, names, initials, or short phrases. The scale and curvature of a signet ring require careful consideration, and each inscription is individually planned to ensure balance, legibility, and longevity.
Because the inscription is cut by hand, no two are ever identical. The slight variations in line and spacing are the mark of true craftsmanship rather than imperfection.

Hand engraved inscriptions are available exclusively on signet rings purchased directly from Breners of London. This ensures full control over the metal, finish, and engraving process, allowing us to guarantee the quality and integrity of the final piece.

This service is only available on signet rings purchased from Breners of London.
All shipping is free of charge. All packages are sent by either Royal Mail Special Delivery or FedEx, tracked and signed for.
Breners of London jewellery is handmade from beginning to end, so please allow 8-10 weeks for engraved pieces and 3-5 weeks for all other pieces.
